When it comes to high fashion, scrubs seem like the
last place to look. While scrubs are the
go-to choice for medical professionals looking for comfort and utility while on
the job, are they really something anyone would think of wearing after hours to
the club? Surprisingly, the answer to
this question nowadays seems to be a resounding “Yes.” And for good reason. Just as the fashion world has embraced
everything from designer jeans to designer hoodies, scrubs are no longer the Plain
Janes of the medical profession.

For decades, surgical scrubs came mainly in green,
white and blue. Maybe you could special
order pink or purple, but that was it.
No patterns, no frills. When you
walked down the street or through the mall, everyone knew what you did for a
living at a glance.
I’m happy to say that the days of Plain Jane surgical
scrubs have come and gone. Today’s
scrubs are as varied as snowflakes; no two seem to be exactly alike. Every kind of look from serious to silly are
available in scrubs today.

are soft and cozy while being flexible and durable at the same time. Everything from microfiber fabrics that blend
polyester and Spandex to produce a feather-light material to
environmentally-friendly fabrics composed of recycled materials.
Colors this year are more vibrant than ever as
numerous scrubs manufacturers are rolling out eye-popping colors such as
Raspberry. Persimmon and Lemon-Lime to brighten up your summer. Want to add even more drama to your scrubs

contrasting color. Or, try adding a

Perception is reality when it comes to attire.
